Mission

A Formula For Success Using A Few Simple Guidelines.

1. Exercise Your Capacity For Budgeting

Everything about you is a resource to be allotted as your lifestyle permits. You have energy, time, and money among other things that can be quantified and distributed in practiced measure. Recognize these gifts you possess and learn to use them to unlock the full potential of your life.

2. Exercise Your Memory

I can't stress enough the importance of memory. If you want to surround yourself with people and possessions that empower you in a friendly, healthy environment then you must remember the causes and effects that form the progression of your life.

3. Exercise Thinking Before You Act OR Speak

We all live in this great big world. You will judge and you will be judged. You have probably heard the saying, "Actions speak louder than words." I can attest to the contrary; words can either set you free or create barriers to your dreams. In my experience, it is easier to understand a simply stated question, comment, or idea than to guess at what someone else's intention for acting in one way or another is.

Budgeting

Energy and Time

Following is a list of tips that have helped me with budgeting my energy and time:

MOST IMPORTANTLY GET PLENTY OF SLEEP. Preferably overnight, but there is nothing wrong with naps during the day.

Eat healthy and proportionally to the amount of activity during the day whether it is physical or intellectual. Personally, I eat 4 moderate meals a day most days with 3 of those meals containing protein such as meat or eggs. For an American, I am a healthy stable weight. It all depends on how much work and/or exercise you do during the day.

Delegate. You don't have to be a one man army. Learn about your human resources; who in your family can be depended on and for what tasks. Don't forget to remember who and how often each person helps you because your good nature and sustainability depend on you making it worth their while.

Know your own limitations. A job tended to with care and consideration is better by far than a hastily thrown together poor excuse for quality craftsmanship. You want your work to convey a message of skill, and have the right to brag about your aptitude as a problem solver.

Believe in karma. At one time or another in your life you depended on others for your survival. You are a caregiver and you will be recognized as owning a moral authority to put someone else's well-being above your own. In this circle of life sooner or later you will be given the relief of being cared for again.

Don't procrastinate. Every task left undone is like an anchor that will weigh you down. In my opinion,  do whatever task the world nudges you to do. Personally, I don't put much stock in a todo list. I find that as a caregiver I get plenty of reminders about what needs to be done just by going about my daily household responsibilities and being mindful.

As a caregiver sooner or later your loved one will most likely blame the world for their situation. Therefore, for the sake of your loved one's sanity you will have to choose to make others take responsibility for both the good habits and the bad habits. Why? Because you will be your loved one's link to the world, and if you try to shield other close contacts by not vocalizing faults where faults are obvious to a mindful caregiver then your loved one will mistakenly transfer the causality of their problems to you. Their link to the world. It isn't fair for the caregiver to accept blame for not being able to control the actions of other people (it may seem obvious to you or I).
